With over 11 years of experience as a journalist, writer, editor, content creator and speaker, I’ve contributed to numerous publications (print and online) including Netflix’s editorial channels, FLARE, FASHION, Chatelaine and more. Additionally, I’ve done creative copwriting for brands, helping them develop their brand voice and tone, and regularly work as a moderator/host/speaker for various companies and corporations.

BUMBLE
For this project, I was tapped by ethnographic marketing, communications and content company WORTHI to ideate and execute a social campaign for Bumble during Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
I worked on everything from ideatation to pitching to Bumble key stakeholders, finding influencers and content creators, and interviewing them for the video portion of the campaign.
This campaign was a finalist in the Diverse-Owned Business Campaign at the 8th Annual Shorty Awards.

For RepresentASIAN Projet, I interviewed acclaimed screenwriters Teresa Hsiao and Cherry Chevapravatdumrong for the platform’s ‘CONVERSASIANS’ series. The conversation touched on the importance of owning your story, the future of Asian representation and redefining perceptions of Asian women in media. (Video edits by me).

While working on Netflix social content for Never Have I Ever, I conceptualized and scripted this video and chose the clips that were included. On Netflix Family’s FB page alone, it has over 9.2M views.

While creating Netflix social content to promote The Chair, I scripted this video asking Sandra Oh some burning questions. On Netflix’s Twitter page, it has over 94K views, while on Netflix’s Facebook, it has over 1.2M views.

Asian Heritage Month Celebration 2023
GOVERNMENT OF CANADA
In 2023, I was invited to be the program host at the Government of Canada’s official Asian Heritage Month celebration in Ottawa. I prepared a speech on that year’s Asian Heritage Month theme (“Stories of Determination”) and introduced various Members of Parliament, along with the Right Honourable Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
